AWP.GG And The Famous Exit Scandal
AWP was once considered one of the best executors on the market. It closely emulated Hyperion and managed to stay undetected for several months, earning a strong reputation in the community.
However, things began to unravel when Roblox rolled out a series of updates aimed at strengthening their anti cheat systems. During the Hunt anti cheat improvement tests, AWP began showing signs of detection an early warning that many overlooked.
When the full update was released, AWP was completely detected. Rather than attempting to recover or fix the issues, the developers and owners reportedly agreed to pull an exit. Their brand reputation had taken a massive hit, and it seemed they saw no path forward.
Users with active monthly subscriptions were left with a broken and unusable product.
To make matters worse, the team attempted to shift the blame by claiming a developer had been arrested. But this story quickly fell apart. The "evidence" they posted in their announcements was actually related to Fatman’s arrest, and had nothing to do with AWP. It was a clear and deliberate attempt at misinformation.
What was once a highly regarded project ended in deception another example of why users should be cautious and stick to proven, transparent development teams no matter the popularity of the product.
